Hello, valued customer!  Looking for The Moving Box?  As you can tell from the photo above, the Moving Box is now BigSteelBox.

In November, 2021, BigSteelBox officially acquired Ontario-based moving and storage company, The Moving Box.

President of The Moving Box, Mike Bekendam, decided the time was right to sell his business, but it was important for him to find a Canadian company that shared the values on which his business was built.

The Moving Box was in business for over 14 years, with locations in Brantford, Hamilton, Simcoe, Dundas and Paris. These locations remain open as BigSteelBox stores, and we’re thrilled that almost all The Moving Box staff chose to join BigSteelBox and continue with their same roles!

Because BigSteelBox already has stores in Ottawa, Kitchener, London and Petawawa, adding these 5 new locations will not only allow us to better service customers throughout southern Ontario, it also makes us the largest portable storage company in the province, and in Canada.

We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be opening a new location in Mississauga, ON, soon – stay tuned for more information on that!

This expansion in Ontario further strengthens our established network of stores in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario, making it even easier for BigSteelBox to provide reliable, affordable moving and storage services across Canada.
