From start to finish! We had a cross country move and we decided to reduce costs by using Big Steel Box. The ‘first contact person ‘was excellent…he was patient, respectful, and knowledgeable. After our account set up, I went to the Ottawa yard where the guys helped me to understand packing the container and it’s size. These are high quality shipping containers. Dropping the box off, although a bit tricky, was done by a very professional driver who made sure the pod was in the best place. Our pod then sat 4 months in the Abbotsford yard. Delivery was done onto a new brick driveway and the driver was so caring and patient about how he dropped the box. When it came time to pick the empty box up he made sure that we did not have one broken brick! This is a first rate company! It obviously has policies in place that produce very happy employees that want to do a good job…that want to provide excellent service…and above all they want you to be happy with their service too. Great company…from start to finish!
When we decided to move from east of Toronto to BC we were facing a big dilemma. Even after selling, giving and dumping stuff, we still owned so much that we didn't want to get rid of. Big Steel Box gave us the flexible solution of packing partial shipments, storage and then unloading on our schedule into our new home. The employees are super awesome.
Only problem was the box smells like mildew and anything that was cloth and the boxes picked up some of the smell. Not horrible but not good. Nothings was wrecked, more just a pain. A few weeks later Customer service reached out to me to voice their concern and to explain to me how they clean their units. Very thoughtful. I will definitely use this service and highly recommended this to anyone that is moving. I have moved many many times in my life and this was the easiest move ever 😀
