I used BigSteelBox to move this past December and I was pleasantly impressed with the service. At first I was a bit hesitant because other companies offering this service have more reviews etc. but the size of the container drew me to BigSteelBox. Putting in the order for the container was very easy and seamless. They called prior to delivery and the box was dropped off in minutes. The box itself was very clean, and the doors provided a nice seal (we had some terribly windy and rainy days during this time), with no water entering the box. When it came time to move my container again, very smooth with a call prior to coming. No items were damaged during the move, which made us happy because we were a bit concerned with the loading/unloading tilt that occurs, but everything was fine. One small knit is that when using their online estimator for the size of box we would need it was not adequate. We rented the 20' box and probably could have used another 10' box, and we were a small 3 bdrm house.
Was very impressed with the whole experience. I had a 400km move out of the GTA area and Big Steel Box was the best option for the money. From setting up the move, to the drivers that delivered and picked up the box….great service all around. We even were able to keep and use the shipping box as storage for 3 months until the renovations on our new house was completed. No issues at all, just had to pay the additional monthly fees. Very impressed. Would recommend this company to anyone needing a shipping container for a move or short term storage.
Amazing company!! We live in a townhouse and weren’t able to fit the box in our driveway, but our driver Daniel went above and beyond to help us find a solution! Would absolutely recommend this company and can’t thank Daniel enough for his help in making everything go smoothly!
