2 months before moving from Vancouver to Winnipeg I reserved a U-Haul truck. I would load it and drive it myself, and a friend would drive my Jeep. 1 month before the move U-haul contacted me to say they are not renting trucks to people leaving the province as no one is coming back to BC. No trucks available. After some research the first place I called was BSB.I spoke with Kassandra who laid out all of the costs and options. I waited a week while looking at many options - but realized it would actually be nice to not have all of my possessions with me and I could enjoy the drive more when I moved. We booked a date and I paid. Because I lived in an apartment building in Richmond, I needed a city permit to place the container on the street. This was the only snag in the entire process - but it WAS NOT BSB's fault. The Richmond traffic ops person I was dealing with wasn't the best at math - so this caused a week's frustration until finally the permit was granted. BSB delivered the box exactly when they said it would be on a Friday. I was called the morning of. Once in place I had it for the weekend. I loaded it up, put two locks on it and some AirTags. I left the city and the box was picked up Monday morning and arrived in Winnipeg 4 days later. The box was delivered to my new house ahead of schedule - but with them in contact by email and phone to coordinate with me. I took two days to unload it, emailed and said I was finished and they picked it up two days after that. Again the driver called me ahead of time to let me know when he's arrive and was on time. This experience simply put to rest every fear I had about moving and having all of my possession out of my sight. Also, nothing was damaged, and nothing even moved in the box during transit. However, I packed it all securely. Lastly, the cost of the U-Haul truck, plus gas I would have needed to buy almost equaled the same amount for BSB to do all the work. I'll recommend BSB to anyone, and while I hope to never move again, I will happily call them if I need to.

First of all, this moving option is THE best. You get a huge, clean, dry Sea Can with good security locks. You get a month to load and then unload. No pressure! They drop it off empty, pick it up full, drop it off at new location and then pick it up empty. Hey, get this, they show up exactly when they said they would. They call beforehand just like they said they would! Dont see that much anymore. Whats more, they do all this for between $600-$700 bucks total! Movers were quoting us several Thousands of dollars. Honestly, with the cost of labour and diesel I dont know how they do it. What really sealed the deal though, was Will Reimer. Every time I called or sent an email I got a prompt, accurate and friendly response. He answered all my questions and got back to me when he said he would. They all understand customer service. Folks, I have literally told everyone about this service so they can benefit from it and I have zero affiliation with this company. In fact, I'd never heard of them until a couple months ago. If you need temp storage call Big Steel Box. They make things easy and affordable.

Awesome experience, the people who work there are very friendly, skillfully loading and unloading the shipping container in our homes. They make our life so much easier, content was safely stored at their location, and safely moved to our house after two months. I would recommend BigSteelBox to anyone that needs moving and storing their stuff in these shipping containers. P.s. the shipping container is very clean and ventilated. All our content was fine when it arrived. Also extra bonus points on communication as well, they make sure to phone us on when to drop off and pick up. Extra extra points: The employee dropped off the container at our old house, also make sure he didn't break the tree in the complex! 🙏😊 And make sure not blocking the road! Way to go BigSteelBox Team!!!! 😊👍👍👍👍👍 And THANK YOU for all your help!
